FAQ

COMMISSIONS

What kind of work can I commission from you?

I do digital illustrations, Vtuber model textures, Live2D rigging, frame-by-frame animations, character and world design, video compositing and editing, and other generalist 2D artist work.

Why do you require upfront payment for commissioned work?

I have been victim to and witness to multiple commissioner scams, donation scams, and the sort in my time as an artist. I’m not willing to entertain this behavior and do everything I can to set a standard of respect for artists and their time.

I’ve been scammed by artists requiring upfront payments before. Can I pay in installments?

I’m open to this depending on the nature of your commission. If you’re commissioning a more expensive commission from me with multiple deliverables, then I’m happy to meet you halfway and invoice you with the option of paying in installments. To protect my income and incentivize upfront payments though, I require up to a maximum of 5% additional cost for this option.

Can I negotiate the terms of service on the invoice before commissioning you?

No you can not, so please respect both our time and don’t ask to.

What kind of art styles can you do?

I would like to think that artists are commissioned for the style they exhibit in their work and hired for their potential to fit into a pipeline. With that said, I’m more than comfortable stylizing commissions one way or another to fit a client’s needs.

Do you rig other artists’ models?

Yes, but I don’t recommend it. If I rig another artist’s model, you’ll be subject to longer wait times as I’ll likely need to get with that artist if textures are missing or more cutting needs to be done (this is more common than you think) and I won’t have as immediate of a knowledge of their layer structure. They may not be drawing textures for, say Vbridger or other specific software either, which can present issues. If I need to do additional cutting or make additional textures for a model, progress will halt until I can properly invoice you for the extra work, so I don’t personally recommend it. Additional uncommon rig animations such as smear frames, full turnarounds, varied contours, and frame-by-frame animations are also much easier and faster to achieve when I just handle the drawing and rigging myself.

What software and equipment do I need to use Vtuber models made by you?

The software I most recommend you use with my models is Vtube Studio with Vbridger to assist with taking advantage of additional inputs from an Apple Iphone X or newer’s patented FaceID technology. If only have Vtube Studio and cannot or will not get Vbridger, then you may not be able to fully take advantage of all the face tracking inputs rigged into the model. The workaround for this is additional rigging parameters for things like face tracking, which is more expensive and requires manual switching when using the model, which isn’t as natural.

Why are commercial licenses forced on Vtuber model purchases and emotes?

This is to protect the customer and to protect my time investment. Even if I was open to doing work for personal use (I am not; see my contact page), the nature of anything related to streaming inherently assumes the produced works are being used commercially. It would be impossible for me to track every client’s use of a Vtuber model and demand royalties or something similar for their use of a personal-use asset which I still own all the rights to on a streaming platform, so the argument that models are for personal use in any context is flimsy at best.

Can I commission you for personal-use work in general?

I’m not planning on having my demand suddenly dwarf my supply, so the likely answer will always be a firm no.

What if I’m not happy with the art and want a refund?

If I already made it, it cannot be refunded. If you commission me and suddenly want to refund your purchase before any work has started, I’ll happily refund you. If partial work has been done at the time you request a refund, then I’ll send you what has been made so far and refund you a portion of your purchase based on the time I have invested in the project by percentage of overall completion.

I’m an artist too! May I copy your Terms of Service and use them in my invoices?

You most certainly certainly may and you don’t even have to credit me for it.

Do you do mentorships or feedback sessions?

Sometimes. At this time, I’m not properly selling them, but I may organize more resources to do so in the future. However, it is more likely that I’ll invest those resources into additional content on various social media in the form of videos and digital rewards. Stay tuned with my social media to catch that when it releases.

Can I hire you to work on a project at my studio?

Email me as you would for any contract work and we’ll talk!

SHOP

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, but I’m based in the US, so international shipping costs are applied to international orders.

When do orders ship?

Once an order is placed, your order will be shipped within 3-10 business days and a tracking number will be emailed or texted to you.

How do I track my order?

The dispatch email will contain a tracking number and tracking link to the service selected at checkout. Once your order reaches the border of your destination country, you may also search the tracking number via your local postal carrier for more accurate tracking information (such as the Sagawa Express Saya if you’re sending it to Japan, for example).

Are there customs fees?

Depending on the receiving country's policies, international orders may incur customs fees.  It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate shipping information and handle these fees accordingly. Returns and exchanges will not be granted if these requirements go unmet.

Please be aware that the EU and UK implemented new tax laws in 2021 which impact the fees the customer is responsible for when purchasing international packages.

Return Policy

Can I return an item?

All sales are final, so returns and exchanges are not accepted.

Can I cancel or refund an order?

If the order has not been shipped and you haven't received the shipping confirmation notification (email or text), you can reach out to me by email to cancel it.

I don’t accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges. However, if the product is damaged, does not match the description, or is not of acceptable quality and is within 30 days of receiving your order, I will organize a replacement. Please send me details and photos to the relevant email address.

My package is missing!

Once the parcel has been given to the courier, I am no longer responsible for your package. Please check with your local post office before claiming that the package is missing. If the post office can’t find it, send an inquiry to me with your order number and the details.

I provided the wrong address, can I change it?

The address can be changed as long as the package has not been shipped yet. After it is shipped, the order must be returned to me per an “insufficient address” before it can be re-shipped. You will then be invoiced for the reshipment fees.

The customer will be contacted if a shipment fails due to an incorrect address. If the customer does not respond within 14 calendar days, the order will be considered abandoned and a full or partial refund will be issued.

I am not responsible for reshipment costs in the event a package is sent to the wrong address. I am also not responsible for lost or stolen mail. To file a claim over these issues, contact your courier directly.

General Information

Do you sign your merchandise?

Sometimes! If I do, it’ll be a separate limited time limited supply item in the store. Otherwise, if I ever set up shipping areas local to different countries (for shipping cost mitigation internationally), I’ll be entirely unable to sign it since I don’t live there, and thus not sign anything from that stock. If you catch me in person at an event though I’d be happy to sign stuff for you then!
